Camera borehole inspection

The client is tasked with monitoring over 80 boreholes and shafts over a large area in Scotland and Northern England; to evaluate water quality and shaft condition.

Well maintenance is essential to check for productivity, leaks, obstructions, casing corrosion and grout degradation. For this particular well it was necessary to investigate the physical condition of water pumps placed in the shaft to control the local water level. This was critical considering a local primary school is in the vicinity.

To achieve this detailed shaft inspection was required. Robertson Geo deployed a logging unit and field personnel to run its camera inspection unit which was instantly able to identify the water pumps, condition, stability and exact depth. Given this information the client was confidently able to make informed decisions as to the longevity of the pumps.
