Borehole Fluid Properties

Borehole fluid properties logging measures water levels, temperature profiles, flow rates within the borehole and water quality in terms of dissolved salts. Sampling probes collect specimens for further detailed laboratory analysis. Borehole fluid properties logging is principally used for water well logging by providing information on the location of aquifers, flow rates, contaminate levels and casing integrity for potential leaks.

Temperature / conductivity borehole fluid properties probe
Temperature/Conductivity

This probe combination provides a continuous, depth-based measurement of fluid temperature and conductivity.

Impeller flowmeter borehole fluid properties probe
Impeller Flowmeter

Impellers can detect differential flow rates as low as 1.0m/min. Logging at a range of speeds allows detection of flow of any rate.

Water quality borehole fluid properties probe
Water Quality

The Water Quality probe is based on the industry-standard Ocean Seven 310™ Borehole probe manufactured by Idronaut Srl.

Heatpulse flowmeter borehole fluid properties probe
Heatpulse Flowmeter

The Heat-Pulse Flowmeter probe is used to detect low vertical flows within a borehole below the threshold limits of conventional impeller tools.

Fluid / gas sampler borehole fluid properties probe
Fluid/Gas Sampler

Fluid and Gas Sampler probes are used to take a discrete sample of well fluid at a particular depth and to return it uncontaminated to the surface.
