Advanced borehole imaging in Saudi Arabia

Bullivant Arabia Ltd., a Saudi-British joint venture, has been operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) since 1991. The company specialises in Geotechnical Contractor services, including Geotechnical Instrumentation & Monitoring, Piling, Shoring, and Structural Appraisal, among others.

The company has been growing to meet the demanding needs of the KSA market, acquiring new techniques to expand its services, including a comprehensive range of Robertson Geo’s logging technology.

Bullivant’s Geophysical Department specialises in advanced borehole imaging using High Resolution Optical Televiewer (Hi-OPTV)® and High Resolution Acoustic Televiewer (HRAT)® probes – delivering 360° high-resolution, oriented visuals of borehole walls.

The Hi-OPTV® & HRAT® data can be used to accurately map fractures, bedding planes and lithological boundaries as well as perform detailed core-log correlation, detect lithological boundaries, assess borehole stability and determine in-situ stress orientations.

Field data is processed and interpreted using Robertson Geo GeoCAD® processing software, which was developed by experienced logging professionals, combining decades of know-how to deliver streamlined workflows with an efficient, easy-to-use Windows-based package.

Industry-standard reports enable Bullivant to unlock the true value of the data gathered by their team of industry experts, providing critical insights for geotechnical, mining, and groundwater investigations.
