Simon leads all activities of the company as it builds organisational capability and employee culture to embark on its next phase of industry leadership.

Steve has 45 years’ experience in the borehole geophysics & petrophysics industry specialising in sales, commercial management and support. Steve is relentlessly customer focussed and has developed an extensive international business network delivering export sales to over 160 countries worldwide.

Ian Jones

Geophysical Services Manager

Ian brings a great deal of expertise and a huge portfolio of global experience to the position of Geophysical Services Manager. He joined Robertson Geo straight out of John Moore's University, Liverpool in 2008. Starting as a Logging Engineer and promoted to Geophysics Supervisor for Robertson Geo Operational Services in 2018, he has seen and gained experience in all aspects of the role and is ideally suited to manage and lead its continued growth globally and draw on his 17 years of practical logging experience to enhance customer support from his hugely experienced team of logging engineers.

Phil Whelan

Manufacturing & Repair Manager

Phil joined Robertson Geo in 2008 as an Electronics Technician, quickly becoming a key member of the team. His expertise led to a transition into the Engineering Department, where he contributed to advancing RG’s systems and driving process improvements. Alongside his career, Phil pursued further education, earning a Degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. His strong background in both manufacturing and engineering, combined with his leadership skills, has been instrumental in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and product development.

In 2024, Phil was appointed Manufacturing & Repair Manager, where he leads a skilled and enthusiastic team, supporting the company’s growth strategy while building on the strong foundation already in place.

Steffan Wyn Roberts

Engineering & Development Manager

Steffan brings extensive engineering expertise and a proven track record in product development and innovation to his role as Engineering and Development Manager at Robertson Geo. Since joining the company in 2019, he has advanced through key leadership positions, before assuming his current role in 2024. With a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and electronics engineering—developed through hands-on experience aboard LNG super tankers—he leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to driving new product development and optimizing production processes. Steffan's background, including his previous role with BP Oil and Gas, equips him with a solid technical foundation and a disciplined approach to problem-solving. His leadership ensures that Robertson Geo continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions to the geophysical sector.

Rosalind Hen-Jones​

Research Geophysicist

Joining Robertson Geo from academia, Rose has a PhD in applied geophysics and geotechnics. Her experience includes over a decade of university research and freelance consultancy for the World Bank. Rose contributes to software and tool development, data interpretation, and advancing industry expertise in geophysics. Authoring technical publications for RG, Rose works alongside our academic partners to expand the company’s research profile and is on the editorial review board for a leading geotechnical journal. She speaks French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese.

John Colclough

John Colclough

Technology Lead Petrophysics & Geophysics

John is a highly experienced technology leader in the energy industry, with more than 30 years of expertise spanning petrophysics, subsurface technology, digital transformation, data analytics, and product management. He has held leadership roles across a range of oil and gas technology and service companies, including the past 20 years leading BP’s global petrophysics technology portfolio. Combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and governance leadership, John is recognised for effectively bridging technical and business stakeholders while maintaining a customer-centric approach to technology strategy and delivery. He has a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale technology portfolios and delivering strategic initiatives that drive business value, improve operational efficiency, and create sustainable competitive advantage. John has joined the Engineering and Development team at an exciting time and will be heavily involved in the Next-Gen of Robertson Geo technology solutions.

Technical Sales Manager - Europe & Africa

Krimo leads technical sales across Europe & Africa and plays a vital role in developing our business in Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Krimo is a seasoned international sales and business development professional with a solid multicultural awareness. He firmly believes in conducting business face-to face where possible, building relationships and understanding and solving customers' problems. He has strong language skills, and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. Krimo develops strong client relationships and strives to understand and respond to their needs by working with them to develop the highest value technical solutions.

Stephen Stroud

Sales & Operations Manager – Americas

Stephen has 9 years of operational experience in open and cased hole geophysical logging services and 10 years in management. Stephen holds a B.S. degree in Geological Sciences and has educated an extensive range of clients on various geophysical logging techniques.

Stephen uses his experience and technical skills to work closely with customers to develop technical solutions that solve their challenges.

Malcolm McBreeze

Supply Chain Manager

Mal draws on his mechanical engineering background and over 30 years' experience as a manufacturing manager in a specialised technology environment to leads the company's procurement strategies. He is responsible for developing supplier relationships, achieving product quality and availability, and ensuring products meet customers delivery and cost expectations.

Head of Finance

Vianneyte is Robertson Geo's Head of Finance, a French national with an accountancy degree and a postgraduate degree in management accounting and strategy, both from Paris Dauphine University. She has lived in the UK for over 30 years and gained experience in various finance roles in international manufacturing companies in the paper, petroleum, food, and engineering industries. Her experience encompasses accounting, finance management, HR systems, legal compliance, SAP, audit, banking, and tax management. She strives to deliver added value to the accounting function to make better and faster management decisions.

Administration & Compliance Manager

Jaynes extensive sales administration, international compliance and shipping experience spans over 35 years at Robertson Geo. Her deep knowledge of shipping and its complex and ever-changing documentation & certification requirements comes from having exported our geophysical instruments and hazardous goods to over 160 countries globally.

Graham Comber

Geotechnical Adviser

No-one has more experience than Graham of borehole logging and land seismic services in worldwide geophysical applications, for 25 years as a field engineer and as Manager of the Services Division undertaking borehole logging across geotechnical, mining and renewables sectors, his work with OWF development has been particularly recognised as Robertson Geo Operational Services is now firmly established as an independent global leader in Offshore Wind Geophysics.

Graham now leads the Robertson Geo technical marketing efforts as Geotechnical Adviser with a particular focus on rationalising product technical literature for the support and education of our end users.

Emyr Evans

Global HSEQ Manager

Emyr is responsible for managing our quality assurance processes as well as health and safety and environmental stewardship. He works closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, optimise processes, and ensure the company meets the needs and expectations of all interested parties as it continues to grow and expand its global footprint. Emyr has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in HSEQ having worked in various industries in the UK and globally. Emyr is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of HSEQ excellence at Robertson Geo and is focused on leading the company toward continued sustainable growth and success in the global market.
